Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan
Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Founder and Head, DJJS.
Discover yourself through Brahm Gyan (Eternal Science of God-Realization).
Today, there is a strong perception that seeing God is practically impossible. And, this thick barricade in our minds tends to swell up gaining support from traditional thoughts and prejudices. Verily, this just needs a strong blow, and the impossible itself is compelled to say: I’m possible! This powerful smash is set forth by the Perfect Spiritual Masters (Satgurus), who descend on the Earth to tear apart the mental barriers among mankind about experiencing God! This happens in every Era. And, this is happening today as well! Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, founder & head of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan is benevolently transmitting to mankind, the practical experience of God through Brahm Gyan (Eternal Science of God-Realization), while upholding the spirit of eternal message that GOD CAN BE SEEN!

Kamdhenu Gaushala
Kamdhenu – The Indian Cow Breed Improvement & Conservation Program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) is primarily focused on re-establishing value of Indian Cow as pivot of any ideal sustainable society. Through its unique advocacy based approach; Kamdhenu is rigorously raising societal awareness and cultural sensitivity in Indian Cow's perspective pertaining to its contribution in the socio-spiritual lives of people and the health, environment, agriculture and economic sector; thereby creating an innate need for conservation of Indian Cows. On the flip side, through action based projects such as selective breeding, bull mother farming, pedigree chart management, research & development and capacity building of farmers, breeders and other gaushalas by providing them with high quality bulls as well as semen; Kamdhenu is efficaciously enhancing Indian Breeds of Cows both in numbers and quality. Further, its branches – gobar electricity plant, manure composting plant, organic farming and ayurvedic medicines makes it a zero-waste and thus a sustainable system.
Our History
Over 20 years ago, Guru Maharaj initiated a mission to revive the lost glory of indigenous (desi) cows. Guided by his deep knowledge, dedicated teams traveled across regions, identifying and selecting pure breeds through years of effort. Simultaneously, the Kamdhenu Gaushala was thoughtfully developed with scientific care and proper infrastructure. Through relentless dedication and long journeys, pure indigenous cows were brought together, turning this vision into a lasting legacy of preservation and service.
Why Us
Kamdhenu Gaushala was established to protect India’s indigenous (desi) cow breeds, which were rapidly declining due to the rise of foreign breeds and misconceptions about their productivity. To challenge the myth that desi cows produce less milk, a live model was created to showcase their true potential.
Founded by Pujya Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the gaushala became a center for preservation and awareness, achieving milestones like a desi cow producing 26 liters of milk in a day. This initiative sparked a nationwide movement, increasing demand and recognition for indigenous cows.
Our Journey
The journey of Kamdhenu Gaushala has been marked by dedication and challenges—from identifying rare pure indigenous cows to developing reliable breeding resources. Financial constraints, limited research, and the scarcity of superior bulls made the mission even more demanding.
With perseverance, key milestones were achieved, including the establishment of a breeding (semen) station and a data-driven system for scientific selection. These efforts have played a vital role in strengthening and expanding indigenous cow breeds across the country.
Present View
Kamdhenu Gaushala is home to five indigenous cow breeds: Sahiwal, Tharparkar, Haryana, Rathi, and Gir. Currently, the gaushala maintains around 2,000 cattle across its facilities. At the Noormahal unit, nearly 900–1,000 cows and calves are cared for with proper management. Around 100 acres of land are dedicated to green fodder production to support their nutrition. The gaushala also operates its own feed plant, preparing balanced feed using 20–25 ingredients.
With a team of 80–100 dedicated caretakers and modern equipment like tractors and harvesters, operations run efficiently. Cow dung is managed sustainably and used as organic manure for farming. Cow urine is processed into Ayurvedic formulations at Shri Ashutosh Maharaj’s pharmacy. Most milk is used within the ashram, while surplus is turned into products like ghee, paneer, curd, lassi, and sweets.
Achievements
Kamdhenu Gaushala has been recognized at several prestigious national events for excellence in indigenous cattle management and dairy production. It participated in Krishi Unnati (16th–18th March 2018) and the India International Science Festival 2022. During 2016–2017, it secured first position in milk production by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Punjab. The gaushala was honored with the National Kamdhenu Award on 13th June 2017. It also received the Award of Honour at the XI National Livestock Championship & Agri Expo 2020. In 2017, it was conferred the Moropant Pingle Award for its outstanding contributions. Modern Techniques
To advance indigenous cattle farming, Kamdhenu Gaushala has adopted modern scientific techniques. A major milestone was achieved through Embryo Transfer Technology (ETT) in collaboration with Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, resulting in the birth of superior calves. IVF technology has also been used to further enhance breed quality.
Additionally, KGSG Kamdhenu Gaushala Side Genetics has been established for semen preservation and genetic improvement. These initiatives represent a strong integration of traditional knowledge with modern science. Moving forward, the gaushala aims to adopt more advanced technologies to accelerate the growth of indigenous cattle conservation.
Bull Mother Farm
The concept of a Bull Mother Farm is essential for selecting high-quality breeding bulls based on scientific data. Many semen stations collect semen without having complete milk performance records of the mother cow, which can lead to poor selection. A proper Bull Mother Farm maintains detailed daily records of each cow’s performance over a standard 305-day lactation period. This data is carefully analyzed to identify superior genetics and ensure only the best bulls are selected.
Without such systems, incorrect selection can result in low milk-producing cattle, affecting overall productivity. Kamdhenu Gaushala serves as a well-established Bull Mother Farm, maintaining detailed records for over 20 years. This ensures the selection of genetically श्रेष्ठ (superior) bulls for sustainable breed improvement. Section Bull Mother Farm ends
Our Goal
Our vision is to improve the quality of cattle across India by replacing non-descript, low-yielding cows with superior indigenous breeds. We aim to develop advanced laboratories and strengthen Bull Mother Farms to produce high-quality breeding bulls. A key goal is to raise awareness about the importance of indigenous cows, which will increase demand for their milk and products, ultimately supporting conservation.
We are also committed to training and skilling farmers in scientific cattle management practices. By organizing and empowering cattle owners, we seek to create a unified platform for collective growth. Another objective is to streamline the supply of indigenous cow milk to areas where it is most needed. Through these efforts, we strive for sustainable development and long-term protection of indigenous cattle.
